"There's no need to hide anymore"
"Today everything is out in the open. We used to be in hiding", tells Daniel Edri who was born in 1946, and adds, "we hid ourselves".
Daniel came to Tel Aviv in 1960 and didn't think to leave for a moment. He worked at the national insurance institute, while promoting equal rights during his social work. "We were the ones who lifted the flag, and we were the leading force in the 70's. We were in demonstrations, and we suffered so that young people today can enjoy the fruit of our struggle. I appreciate the mayor who embraces our pride. Today there is more awareness in the society, in Israel and in the world; There are more rights. Weddings are held freely; we see LGBTQ people on TV. There's no need to hide anymore. Be happy � you get to live a better life".
