The project in Dalia was attended by cc781905-5cde-3194-bb3b-136bad5cf58d_ Druze, Christian and Jewish artists who together underwent a fascinating documentary journey that rediscovered the historical story of 18 Dalia people: intellectuals, educators, religion and culture.

In each venture the creators find their personal tone, and so this time as well, photographer Jadir Natur Kiuf documented her sculptor mother Nada Natur. Jadir wrote on behalf of the creators and said: "Is there a prophet in his city? This exhibition is the answer of us all."

Neighborhood ties in the settlement were also strengthened as a result of the project. Eyal Saba, who documented his parents' neighbor Ali Birani - a partner in the peace delegations, said that as part of the documentation he returned to his childhood memories. "For decades his home and my memories have come to life again. This time I got to know him from a new angle of  his contribution to history in Israel," Saba added.

"Some of the creators of the meetings were given the opportunity to hear from a more personal place the story of people they had known all their lives," said Nadine Kadur Nasraldin, who documented with Tova Eshel Yosef Nasraldin, the founder of the Druze Zionist movement. 5cde-3194-bb3b-136bad5cf58d_

Along with Nasraldin, people who were involved in social, security and educational activities that changed cultural perceptions were also documented, such as Yassin Mariach - the first Jewish player in the community, and Khuriya Birani - who was the first Druze girl to study in the education system in 1948.

The project gave place to the local tradition, among them Sheikh Faiz Maklada from the veteran farmers in Dalia, and if poverty Durkhan is snatched - a mother of 17 children and a meeting with her re-teaches about motherhood and family. We were excited to find out about the unique stories of the community and give them the proper stage. Dalia was documented in a new 'frame', in which there is a place and respect for the past and heritage, but also a fresh spirit with a look ahead through the eyes of young artists. We look forward to returning for another round to discover more stories and artists.

The stories and photographs were edited into a unique book called "Leaving a Seal in Dalyat El Carmel" which can be purchased through the website, in a limited edition through the "Leaving a Seal" association. The proceeds were intended to continue its operations.
