80th anniversary of The Danish Rescue operation
A documentary Photo Exhibition
In 1943 thousands of Danish Jews were smuggled, under the noses of the
Nazis, in fishing boats to the east coast of the country, towards neutral
Sweden. Although the Germans caught a small portion, 99% of Danish Jewry
survived the Holocaust. This story should be known to the young generation.
An exhibition and catalog will follow in 2023.

The Danish Volunteers in the Kibbutz
A call for a photo exhibition
Ideology, adventure, and youthful spirit made the volunteer movement in kibbutzim around Israel a sweeping trend in the 70s and 80s. Among the hundreds of thousands of young people who came, the Danish volunteers stood out. Some stayed in Israel, and some went back to Denmark with their spouses whom they met at the Kibbutz.
Do you have stories from that period?
Sign up now for a project that celebrates the value of volunteering through those memories in the kibbutz. A portrait exhibition accompanied by a short text will follow in 2023.
Registration is open for Danes who volunteered in a Kibbutz, and photographers who wish to take part in the exhibition.
